Carlos Ortega inicia su formación en el diseño con madera en 1997.
En 1999, finaliza el grado medio de formación en Fabricación de Muebles en el College of Northeast London con una nominación a la City and Guilds Prize Medal por su proyecto final.
En 2000, finaliza el grado superior de formación en Fabricación y Diseño del Mueble por el College of Northeast London.
Tras un año trabajando como ebanista en diferentes talleres en Londres, Carlos decide ampliar su formación en la London Metropolitan University.
En 2003 recibe una beca Erasmus en el Politecnico de Milano.
En 2004 se licencia en Diseño y Tecnología de Producto y Mueble (BA(Hons) Furniture & Product Design).

In 1997, Carlos Ortega started his education in wood design.
In 1999, he completes the Furniture Making City and Guilds Course at the College of Northeast London. Nominated for a City and Guilds Prize Medal for his final project.
In 2000, he completes the Furniture Design and Making City and Guilds Course at the College of Northeast London.
After a year working as support cabinet-maker in different workshops in London, he decides to enroll the London Metropolitan University.
In 2003 he granted an Erasmus scholarship at Politecnico de Milano University.
In 2004 he graduates BA(Hons) Furniture & Product Design.
