A set of containers made out of laminated cork, which we manufacture ourselves. We also colour it: the outcome is a very rich textured material.

Organic and irregular shapes result from the flexibility of cork when it is bended along a fixed pattern.  A simple piece that arises questions such as what it is made of, or how it is made.

Cork is a natural material with a combination of attributes that no industrial or technological processes have yet been able to fully replicate. It is lightweight, quite strong, flexible, warm.. All these properties widen the spectrum of manufacturing techniques when using the material. Usually it is simply carved from a solid piece, resulting generic pieces. Lamination allows us to work in a different manner with a simple purpose: uniqueness.

Conjunto de contenedores realizados en corcho laminado por nosotros. También le añadimos color, resultando un material de textura muy rica.

Muestran una forma orgánica e irregular característica, que viene dada por la flexibilidad del corcho curvado sobre un patrón fijo. Un pieza sencilla que hace que nos preguntemos de qué está hecho y cómo.

El corcho es un material con una combinación de atributos única que todavía no se ha podido reproducir mediante procesos industriales o tecnológicos. Es ligero, bastante fuerte, flexible, cálido… Todas estas propiedades amplían el espectro de procesos de fabricación al utilizar este material. Normalmente, el corcho se talla partiendo de un bloque, el resultado son piezas genéricas. El proceso de laminación nos permite usar el material de forma diferente con un propósito claro: la singularidad.
